Who are we?

Vetur Music is a new publisher and distributor in the Icelandic market. Vetur was founded in 2024 to fill a specific gap in the Icelandic music industry. We want to rethink the game from the artists' perspective, not from big corporations.

At Vetur, we strive to create opportunities for our artists instead of waiting for them to "make it" on their own. By combining digital distribution and direct support, we aim to become the strongest ally of the artist in the music scene. At Vetur, artists come first – always.

Arent Claessen

Distribution

Arent is one of the co-founders and manages both day-to-day operations and other development. Arent has a law degree and a background in the events and music industry.

Skarphéðinn Finnbogason

A&R, Bookings

Skarpi is one of the co-founders and takes care of artists & repertoire, bookings, events and other operations. Skarpi has a degree in law, another in event management, and is pursuing a master's in business, along with extensive experience in the events industry.

Alexandra Sól Anderson

Creative Director

Alexandra has been with us since the early days of Vetur, leading everything related to the brand and identity of Vetur. Alexandra graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2024.

Daniel Hjörvar Guðmundsson

Project manager

Daníel is our project manager and is responsible for onboarding and communication with artists as well as other projects. He has a master's degree in law from the University of Iceland and has experience in event management and production.
