At Vetur Music, we strike a unique balance: artistic creativity with professional execution. Our name “Vetur” means winter in Icelandic, and like an Icelandic winter, we bring a cool, inspiring energy that’s at the heart of our brand. We’re as comfortable in the indie club as we are in the boardroom – ambitious and modern, yet authentic and approachable.

Who are we?

Vetur Music is a new publisher and distributor in the Icelandic market. Vetur was founded in 2024 to fill a specific gap in the Icelandic music industry. We want to rethink the game from the artists' perspective, not from big corporations.

Arent Claessen

Label / Distribution / Operation

Arent is one of the co-founders and manages both day-to-day operations and other development. Arent has a law degree and a background in the events and music industry.

Skarphéðinn Finnbogason

A&R / Events / Operations

Skarpi is one of the founders of the company and manages artists, bookings, events, and other related operations. Skarpi holds a B.A. in Law from the University of Iceland, a diploma in event management, and is pursuing a master's degree in business at the University of Reykjavik, in addition to having extensive experience in the events sector.

Daniel Hjörvar Guðmundsson

Law / A&R

Daníel works as a lawyer with us in addition to his role in the A&R department, where he manages communications with artists, strategy, and other relevant tasks. Daníel completed his master’s degree in law at the University of Iceland and has experience in event management and production.

Alexandra Sól Anderson

Creative Director

Alexandra has shaped the image of Vetur from the beginning and oversees everything related to the brand and visibility. Alexandra completed her graphic design studies at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2024.

Birgir Ari Óskarsson

A&R / Marketing

Birgir is a key member of our A&R team, managing bookings and communication with artists, as well as overseeing the media. Birgir is completing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Iceland, but has extensive experience in marketing from the business sector.
